Please read our care instructions carefully before booking your appointments! Not adhering to our care instructions can impact your healed results. Since PMU is a semi-invasive procedure, which requires breaking the skin in order to deposit pigment, there are many things to consider before deciding to go ahead with this procedure.
Make sure you are in good physical condition to ensure you obtain the best healed results. If you have any broken, irritated, or blemished skin around the area of treatment, it is best to reschedule. Make sure you disclose any medical conditions and medications and supplements you are taking.
Please take the time to read the information below so that you are able to make an informed decision. Feel free to send us an email with any questions you may have.
BROW CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Our Brow Tattoo treatments will typically require multiple sessions depending on the client and their skin type. For best results, clients are recommending to return for at least 1 touch-up appointment which will take place around the 6 to 8 week mark following the initial procedure. Oily skin types may require an additional touch-up appointment.
AVOID brow waxing, tinting, microdermabrasion or chemical peels at least one week prior to the procedure.
DO NOT consume alcohol or caffeine 48 hours prior to the procedure session.
DO NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, Advil, Ibuprofen, Omega-3, Fish Oil, Vitamin E or any blood thinners 48-72 hours prior to the procedure session. Tylenol is ok.
DO NOT have Botox, filler, chemical peels, microdermabrasion or laser treatment on eyebrows area 4 weeks prior to the procedure.

DO NOT get tan or expose your face to the sun 14 days before and after your procedure.
Please wear your normal make up on the day of procedure. This is helpful to see the color and shape you are comfortable with.
Discontinue Retin-A, AHA(Alpha Hydroxy Acid) and Glycolic and hair growth serum at least 2 weeks prior (and avoid on eyebrow area after procedure).
BROW PRE-CARE
BROW AFTERCARE
Permanent makeup aftercare is a crucial element in getting the most out of your treatment and the best way to prevent infection and scarring. Several factors can affect your final results including skin type, your immune system response, and the technique performed. Still, it is also imperative that you follow all care instructions since this directly affects the color retention and, of course, the final results.
Expect your new cosmetic tattoo will to darken by the end of day and may continue to appear darker and larger (thicker, bigger) than you would like. This is normal and part of the body's natural healing process. DO NOT PANIC! This is expected.
Swelling should subside within a few days. You must follow the aftercare instructions provided to you for best results. DO NOT PICK OR PEEL YOUR SCABS! Doing so may result in scarring, keloids, uneven patchy colour, and prolong redness that can last for several months.
You may feel a little sore from the procedure and this is normal. You may take Tylenol, but NOT aspirin or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin).
Until scabs have fully completed peeling:
Do not immerse the area in water or have shower spray directly in area
Do not exercise where you will be sweaty for 5-7 days
Do not wear make-up in the area
No facials, chemical treatments, microdermabrasion for 4 weeks after
Avoid direct sunlight, & tanning for 4 weeks. Wear a hat when outdoors.
Keep area moist with aftercare ointment provided with a Q-tip
Never touch the area with your fingers
Keep area clean as instructed
Never pick, or peel or rub your scab. Doing so may cause scarring and prolonged redness
Eat a well-balanced diet, get enough sleep for best healing
Use a clean pillow case
Use brand new makeup once healed for the area that has had permanent make-up done
DO NOT allow your scab to become soft. Steam from a shower, excessive product, and not allowing brows to fully dry after they have come in contact with water will all cause the scab to become soft and fall off prematurely taking a lot of colour with it. This may result in a very patchy brow.
DO NOT apply any makeup (this includes tinted moisturizer), anti-aging or acne medication on the treatment during the healing period for 4 weeks. Makeup is okay once peeling is complete.
You will begin to feel some tightness and itching between days 4 to 7. This is normal and means the skin is about to peel. Cool distilled water will sooth the itch, but please do not scratch, pick or peel. Many clients have come back to report they did not experience any scabbing or peeling. This is quite common and completely normal. The scabbing you will experience is usually flat and not very noticeable (unlike a thick, crusty scab) and peeling may be so minimal that you don't notice it, but it does occur.
Pigment will slowly fade over time depending on:
Skin type
Sun exposure
Metabolism
Certain medication (Acne medications and cream such as Glycolic acids, Retin-A, exfoliants or anti-aging)
Facial surgery
Smoking
Frequent exercise – the salt in sweat will cause the pigment to purge from the skin
Age (ie. the younger/healthier, the faster your cells turn over)
Anti-aging skincare products
Pigment Color
Schedule touch-up maintenance appointments as needed to keep your brows looking defined. Periodic touch-ups will ensure longer lasting results.
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
SPF protection is the best defense against premature colour fading. Please be diligent with your sun protection to maintain long lasting colour. The skin on your face is a lot thinner than your body, therefore your cosmetic tattoo will be more susceptible to premature fading. Tanning beds, and IPL/Laser treatments will also cause or even remove colour prematurely.
EYELINER CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Permanent eyeliner is a great long-lasting solution for anyone who wears eyeliner frequently. The treatment does, however, involve a short aftercare period during which you have to take special care of the treated area. Remember that like any cosmetic procedure, this is a process. Do not expect immediate results and please be patient. It will take a few weeks before you can fully appreciate the final results.
EYELINER PRE-CARE
It is recommended to eat something before your appointment to make sure your blood sugar levels stay stable during the procedure.
No excessive alcohol or caffeine consumption 24 hours before your procedure. Alcohol and caffeine can thin the blood, which causes the skin to be hypersensitive, and bleed/bruise more easily.
Avoid sun tanning one week prior to the procedure.
Avoid blood thinning medications for 24 hours before the procedure. This includes Aspirin, Niacin (Vitamin B3), Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen, fish oils tablets. Please consult your physician if this is an issue.
Eyelash extensions should be removed 3 days prior to the procedure
Discontinue Retin-A one week prior to the procedure
No Botox around the eye area 2 weeks prior.
Eyelash growth serums like Latisse bring extra circulation to the lash line area which results in more growth of hair/lashes. This can cause the skin to be hypersensitive and bleed easily. It is recommended to discontinue the use of these products at least 3~6 months before your treatment.
Do not wear any eye makeup on the day of your appointment.
If you wear contact lenses, please wear glasses on the day of your appointment.
Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.
EYELINER AFTERCARE
Eyes may appear slightly swollen and tender for a few days. It will look similar to as if you were crying. This is normal and will dissipate quickly. Itching is also common.
An ice pack protected with a wet barrier film of a paper towel can help with the swelling. Please do not ice for more than 10 minutes a sitting. Icing is most effective, the first 24 hours. Sleeping slightly elevated can also reduce any residual swelling of eyes. The most swelling is usually an issue the following morning after your procedure.
You may soil your pillowcase with some residual pigment on eyes.
Your eyes may be stuck together in the morning, use a wet Q-tip and gently separate. Do not rub, peel or pick.
Splash your eyes with water and wash off any pigment residue immediately after the procedure. Pat dry gently with a clean tissue.
Wash the skin around the eyes twice a day (morning & night) using a gentle, unscented soap (Cetaphil or baby shampoo is recommended). Use your fingertips to cleanse gently and pat dry with a clean tissue.
Scabs will take about 7-10 days to peel off. Do not pick at the scabs or peel them off prematurely.
Swelling and redness is normal for the first few days.
The color will fade approximately 30-50% lighter when the scabs fall off. This is completely normal. Do not feel discouraged if the fading is more than you expected.
To achieve the perfect eyeliner, we need to see how your skin accepts the initial application and a touch-up appointment is where we will perfect the shape and color.
No eye makeup is allowed until the scabs completely fall off.
Avoid sweaty exercise such as hot saunas, hot yoga, and swimming
Keep the area clean, no eye make-up until fully healed.
Wash once a day with diluted cleanser (Cetaphil) and only use the aftercare given for 3 to 4 days. Apply once in the am and once in pm. Use a fresh Q-tip for every application.
Do not let the eyeliner become dry in the first 72 hours.
Avoid sun, pools, hot tubs and all creams around eye area.
Eyes heal very well. However, they are exposed to the possibility of a secondary infection like conjunctivitis. Eyes are sensitive to pet dander, gardening, dust and dirty hands.
